The 16th August 1981, the historical Slane Castle held its first ever open air rock concert. Slane Castle was quickly discovered as one of the best open air venues in the world.

With the slopping grounds of Slane Castle its forms a natural amphitheatre which is ideal for concerts. The venue can hold as many as 80,000 to 110,000 and with the amazing backdrop of the river Boyne flowing alongside the castle, this is an impressive concert venue that promises not to disappoint.
The grounds of Slane Castle have been described as “spectacular and the geography of the area creates a sort of snow globe of entertainment”.

Guns N’ Roses will kick off their ‘Not In This Lifetime’ world tour at Slane Castle.
